Roll This™

A free 5e stat roller

Roll a new character's six ability scores on your phone, by the rules or by your table's house rule. Each score shows its dice, with the dropped ones crossed out, and its modifier.

How it works

Pick a method and tap Roll for six scores, with their total and their modifiers added up. Copy them to paste into a chat, or roll again.

With Roll This+, Use on a Character puts them on a character sheet. Pick the score for each ability, and every bonus on the sheet follows.

The Stat Roller after a roll of 4d6, dropping the lowest: scores of 10, 15, 9, 9, 17 and 14, each with its four dice and the lowest crossed out, a total of 74 and modifiers of +5.

Popular house rules

Plenty of tables roll their own way. The Stat Roller has the ones that come up most:

Which one to use

Rolling gives every character a story of its own, high scores and low ones. The standard array and point buy keep everyone at the table on even footing. Most house rules sit in between: they lift the average a little or soften a bad roll. Ask your GM which one your table uses.

The rest of the dice

Roll This is a free dice roller too: attacks with advantage, damage and critical hits. See how to roll them, or see what's in Roll This+.
